"Rufus" is a 15.3HH Gelding weighing over 1300lbs with so many great qualities we don’t even know where to begin. We bred and raised this Gelding and are so happy with the horse he has become. 

We took one of our A-Team Mares who was ½ Quarter Horse and ½ Belgian then crossed her with our Gypsy Vanner Stallion, we were not disappointed with the result. Rufus was a special individual from the day he was born, truly the friendliest baby with the greatest personality! He has a stunning silver mane and tail with a strong confirmation and build.  He is big boned and sure footed all while his agility and ability to move is superb for a horse of his size. 

He has been used on the ranch to sort, gather, and move cattle - roping anything there is to rope and handle. He has been used in the mountains to pack and ride in rough, rugged terrain. He has carried a flag in the rodeo, been used to pick up broncs, can be ridden bareback, and has shined in every variety of situation.  As handy and useful as Rufus is, he can also be trusted to take care of inexperienced riders.

Rufus stands quiet in a box stall, gets along with other horses, and can thrive in a big pasture or a small pen. He is easy to shoe, easy to catch, and can ride off alone without getting bothered. 

At only 6 years old, we feel he is a finished ranch horse with his whole life ahead of him. He is a safe, steady Gelding that is ridden in the bridle and registered with GHRA as a Gypsy Cross.

We are so proud to offer this home grown Gelding for your consideration. He has a big place in our hearts and is a hard one to see go, but we know he will make someone very happy. We encourage anyone that is interested in Rufus to come try him before the sale.
